Audio stays on your device

Tab audio is captured only after you move a control. It is processed on your device: it is not sent anywhere or stored.

We collect nothing

We literally collect NOTHING.

No audio, pages, history, or personal data. There is no analytics, advertising, tracking, telemetry, or accounts.

Volume and delay stay in memory while that tab is being captured. Reset all, reload, or close the tab clears that state. Uninstalling the extension removes it. The interface language is stored in the local Chrome profile with chrome.storage.local.

Information handled

After a popup adjustment, Audio Nudge gets that tab’s audio, changes volume (0% to 600%) and delay (25 ms steps) on the device, and plays it to your speakers or headphones. The stream is not recorded, not written to disk, and not transmitted to Root Digital CR, advertisers, or any other party. Chrome may show a capture indicator while the adjustment stays active. Capture stops at 100% and 0 ms, on Reset all, or when you reload or close the tab.

Permissions

activeTab. Identifies the visible tab when you open the popup. Access is temporary and does not grant ongoing access to other sites.

tabCapture. Captures that tab’s audio after you move a control, solely to adjust it locally.

offscreen. Runs the Web Audio graph inside Chrome, on the device. No remote code.

storage. Stores only the interface language (en or es) in this Chrome profile. It does not store audio, browsing history, or volume/delay values.

External services

Ko-fi. “Support the project” opens ko-fi.com/rootdigitalcr only after a click. Audio Nudge does not send audio, pages, or preferences. Ko-fi may handle IP, cookies, or payment data under its own policy. The extension does not receive the payment result.

Creator site. The Root Digital CR link opens root-cr.com in an isolated tab without a referrer.

More extensions. The catalog link opens root-cr.com/extensions after a click, in an isolated tab without a referrer. Audio Nudge does not send audio, pages, or preferences.

If you voluntarily open a support request, GitHub processes the information you submit under its own terms. Support requests are public. Audio Nudge never attaches audio or pages.

Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve Audio Nudge’s visible tab-audio controls; it is not sold or transferred for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes, and it is not made available for human reading through developer systems.

Security and changes

Audio Nudge includes no analytics, advertising, remote executable code, or runtime CDN dependencies. Material changes to this policy will update the date on this page.
